The Dual language Program of the Village School is officially opened!
On Friday, March 10th a large group of student, parents and guests welcomed the Consul of France and the Belgium Honoraire Consul to inaugurate the Program.
March being the “francophonie” month, francophone festivities kicks off the day.
The building was turned into a French Village where every student get to discover the French way of life. It felt like an authentic “place du Village”
Le “café des artistes” was open for every gourmet and the Flower shop even took orders. The postman was there, distributing postcards written by students and parents, and mailed in a yellow mailbox.
Obviously, the Bakery was a great success…do you see why?
Then, Mr Sujiro Seam,Consul General of France in Houston shared his enthusiasm to see such an expansion in French Education, especially in the Village School.
The entire school, dressed in blue, white and red, performed a francophone hymn before welcoming their guests inside the school.
They helped them rotate around the different stations so that for once, adults took this opportunity to become a kid once more, and use playdough, crayons and glue!
