Photo exhibit - Fenêtres Windows
Fenêtres/ Windows is a photography exhibit that takes place in the offices of the French Consulate of Houston.
The exhibit’s purpose is to create a feeling of harmony and of creative stimulation in the work place for both the people working there and for visitors.
The back drop for this exhibit is hallways, conference room, cafeteria, reception and any area where people must go through in the Consulate day to day.
The substance of the work realised in these offices lends itself for a breeding ground of ideas ranging from politics to the environment.
The artists selected for this exhibit in such a unique venue contribute to the diversity of concepts and photographic styles that animate and awaken more than just the visual sense.
In some areas of the offices where there is no view to the outside, a photograph becomes a window that allows for a moment of reflection or of contemplation of a far away place or time.
Fenêtres / Windows is an invitation to travel, to imagine, to meditate or to escape through the proposed image by an artist.
The artist’s commence a dialogue through the richness of their images and the viewer completes the artwork through her or his thoughts.
