Bastille Day Celebrations in Houston
Bastille Day weekend celebrations included a large party at the Houston Polo Club and a formal event at the residence of the consul general.
Over 1,000 people gathered at the Houston Club where they enjoyed a polo game followed by the traditional pétanque! Children’s activities coordinated by EFGH were a great hit!
The evening continued with the national anthems beautifully sung by Renée Porter and the traditional speech by the consul general.
Guests enjoyed the French inspired menus from several good vendors and dancing began with lots of French tunes mixed by DJ Julien Nolan.
Thanks again to all the volunteers and especially to Marie-Laure Reed, Joelle Koenig, Lina Corinth and Catherine Bedel for their help in making this event a success!

At the residence of the consul general on the 14th, many representatives of the French community were present as well as official representatives and members of the art and educational communities in Houston.

Our Bastille Day celebrations would not be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors! We would like to take the opportunity to thank them warmly!
See you next year!
