What is France 2030?
Launched in 2021, France 2030 is a major €54-billion investment plan to accelerate the transformation of the French economy. This plan aims to decarbonize the economy and promote environmentally friendly innovation while supporting the leaders of tomorrow in strategic sectors such as energy, digital technology, health and agriculture.
Vision and aims
France 2030 focuses on three main objectives: produce better, live better and foster greater understanding of our world. It is based on ten priorities, including industry decarbonization, an improved quality of life and knowledge development. The plan aims to position France as a global leader in key areas through technological innovation and research.
Rollout and impact
Today, almost €30 billion has already been invested in more than 3,500 projects. The rollout of the plan is orchestrated by the Secretariat-General for Investment (SGPI) and is promoted throughout the year in France and abroad by the diplomatic network, embassy economic services and Business France. This plan is highlighted at major events such as the Choose France Summit, which takes place yearly at the Château de Versailles. It is part of a global effort to promote the economic attractiveness of France, incarnated by the “Make it iconic. Choose France” campaign.
France 2030 stands out for its global ambitions. It aims to make France a major player on the international stage in sectors of high strategic value. By involving businesses, academic institutions and local and European governments, France 2030 is laying the groundwork for the champions of tomorrow and strengthening France’s assets on the global market.
